We can now look back on a truly unique and unforgettable Shopware Community Day: not only was it the 10th SCD of Shopware’s 20 years as a company, but it was also the first SCD that was completely digital. Despite the unusual circumstances, we are overjoyed that over 3,000 participants from across the globe were able to come together and connect over the latest developments in ecommerce. As Director Product (Cloud & Services) Jörn Paulsen opens up the cloud world for shopware. The graduate media computer scientist first gained his expertise in the digital industry over 20 years ago as a web application developer in a Hamburg agency. In 2009, as COO in a Cologne e-commerce start-up, he built up an SaaS shop system for small retailers and, following the acquisition by a major payment provider, he continued to drive the scaling of the system as Vice President. Jörn Paulsen has been part of the Shopware family since the beginning of 2019.

Automation in the end-to-end area was written by her and continues to be strongly promoted by her.

His main interest is the mystery of sustainable software development. And although the definitive answer is still a long time coming, he is convinced that TDD, craftsmanship and software architecture are important building blocks for the solution.

After completing the training, he worked in an agency and planned and developed several enterprise projects with Vue.JS and TypeScript, until he finally became a member of the Shopware Enterprise team in the mid of 2019. Now he is primarily involved in the development of the frontend of enterprise plugins. In his free time, Benedikt experiments with various frameworks and pushes native development to its limits using web technologies.
"Newer is always better!" This phrase might as well be a commandment for software development if one dares to count the rewrites of any particular software system. This of course does not always have to be that case. In fact, the Shopware B2B-Suite for Shopware 6 is not a total rewrite but was extended to support both Shopware 5 and 6 from a single code base.
