Die Gründung einer Tochterfirma in den USA hat den Startschuss zum Wechsel zu Shopware 6 gegeben. Nun haben wir endlich Seiten, die lebendig sind, auf Kundenseite Spaß und auf unserer Seite Geld generieren.

You’ve heard of Unit Tests. You’ve heard of Integration Tests. But now we’re here to put the top on the testing pyramid. In this talk we explain the Why and How of user interface testing and UI test automation. We’ll start with a bit of a theoretical background and explain the benefits of UI tests from the perspective of users as well as from a plugin vendor’s perspective. We then continue to show how far we have come with the tests for Mollie’s Shopware plugins in a live demo. We explain our testing framework and our approach to having a complete test suite with reasonable times for developing, running, and evaluating the tests and their results. Finally, we explain how you can make use of automated User Interface Testing in your projects, where possible pitfalls are, and how to integrate these types of tests with a test management framework. To summarize, we close with the big picture of testing, including automated other tests, smoke and sanity checks, regression tests, tests for new features, as well as test management. And of course, manual testing is also still very important and needs to be taken into account.

How many theme settings does it take to ensure that a header or a footer is completely configurable and customizable for customers? How can headers be individually customized for different contexts (customer group B2B or B2C, Black Friday Sale) or for special pages in the shop (sale category, highlight product)? We, ACRIS E-Commerce GmbH, have been dealing with these questions since the release of Shopware 6 and have not only found suitable answers but also a completely new approach to theme development: "The only task of a theme is to define the global styling of a shop." This means that a theme does not issue any changes to the HTML layout, but is exclusively responsible for defining global styling, such as colours, fonts or buttons. The configuration of the header, footer, dropdown menu and all other components in the shop is done via the Shopware 6 experience worlds. That‘s why the best thing about it is, that headers and footers can be controlled by rules and assigned to special categories or products. We have already implemented this approach for a customised design with one of our clients and would like to present it within the SCD as a case study.

How digital empathy is changing onsite personalisation. People should also be in the foreground on the internet and not simply an accumulation of purchase histories. Often, data is collected without concrete goals for evaluation and use. The problem starts with the human needs we all have when going through a buying process. A good salesperson in the physical store observes and interprets the behaviour of individual customers and thereby recognises their very individual purchase drivers. In doing so, he uses his intuitive understanding of body language and his human empathy. By putting himself in his customers' position, he is thereby also able to help his customers individually and give them the right advice. Even online, every website visitor shows a very individual and situational behavioural profile, which allows the same conclusions as an observation in a physical store. This is called digital body language. We show you how to use real-time psychographic analytics to support website visitors individually in decision-making situations without pressuring them, enabling a more empathetic buying experience in the online shop. You should know how to address a customer individually and if you have, for example, a very uncertain website visitor who only wants to gather initial information, you have to deal with him very sensitively and pre-filter the flood of information. With another visitor who, for example, is looking at a certain budget limit, you have to present the same page in a completely different way, for example emphasise the savings potential of products and possibly work with exclusive discounts. This is called "digital empathy", because ultimately there are people on both sides of the online shop who can achieve empathetic interaction with each other.

The talk shows the implementation of a low-code online-shop project based on Shopware 6 using the example of ASS Maschinenbau GmbH. ASS Maschinenbau GmbH was founded in 1983. About 120 employees in Germany and partners worldwide develop intelligent solutions for various tasks in the fields of automation and robotics. The product range includes gripper parts, robot hands, automation systems, PA forming, FVK handling, image processing systems and is completed by our services. ASS offers customized solutions around injection molding and automation for manufacturers and suppliers of the automotive and plastic injection molding industry. In the past, sales at ASS were done classically by field service, partners & catalog. Until 2008 there was a online shop, whose high maintenance effort was not profitable in relation to the income. The increasing competitive pressure from ever faster imitators abroad and advancing digitalization prompted ASS to take action. Therefore, the product catalog was to be digitized with Shopware. This should create a service platform that provides the customer with a comprehensive product overview and serves as an information base for the sales representatives and partners, supporting them in their daily work. In the talk, you will learn how we implemented the store on the basis of Shopware 6 without any major programming effort. In addition, you will learn how we connected Shopware with Apache Nifi as middleware to the enterprise resource planning of ASS Maschinenbau and get exclusive insights into the configuration of the interface. By using the minimum viable product (MVP) approach we went from an outdated Magento shop to a revenue-driving and high-converting Shopware best practice.
